Over 15 years in the Mac business....

Since our inception in 1986 as Macintosh consultants to the revolutionary desktop publishing industry - starting with the SE/30, we started out installing these crazy little boxes from California.

We were one of the first companies in the UK to buy Macs - and we instantly fell in love with them. Over the years our knowledge and understanding grew and grew as consultants and designers.

From there we evolved into a design agency and later split into a Apple Internet Provider and Authorised Apple Reseller when the [still current] CEO Gary Hall took over the helm of MacAce.net. Interestingly, our CEO has never worked for anyone but MacAce...

MacAce.net is born...

In 1996 we launched MacAce.net - fresh air for Mac users amidst a struggle to get reliable support from their ISP. MacAce.net launched as "The First Mac-only ISP" - coveted by the Macintosh press and an army of new users - many of whom still spread the word today.

Our mission has always been to provide world-class Internet services for the Macintosh community. And so we have. We've expanded, upgraded and spent countless hours and nights optimising and tweaking things to ensure we provide fast, reliable services with an undying passion. Today we have our own multiple direct connections to the heart of the internet, in Telehouse London as well as Bristol and Manchester. Recently we've built, and continue to enhance our US network infrastructure and expand our high-speed fibre links around the World. Our offices and operation centre in Cornwall UK and New York USA. As we grow, so do our customer numbers: but we vow to never loose the personal touch.

The pirate camp...

We have a relatively small but dedicated team of extremely knowledgeable staff with vast experience, as you would expect, in both the Macintosh platform and the internet as a whole. Our MD has been a Mac user since his early teens, has Apple Engineering qualifications in both hardware and software, has experience in Apple retail, service and support. Our support department boast incredible talent which spans multiple platforms from all OS versions to Windows to Linux to UNIX to Cisco IOS to PHP to Perl to Ajax to cgi to component-level electronics engineering. MacAce, as part of the CorNetworks Group, boast a growing team of inhouse web developers - some of the brightest in the country. This vast breadth of knowledge, expertise, passion and drive, when combined together forms something we think is unique: MacAce.net. And, like the Apple analogy goes, because we manage the nuts and the bolts, it just works.

And we're only just getting started....

Our goal for the future is to maintain our core values of providing a first-class support and customer experience, whilst innovating with exciting technologies. We respect the values of icons like the great Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Sir Jonathan Ive and the enormous contribution Apple has made, and is making, to our lives. Whilst we'll never quite be Apple, we hold their values true and model ourselves on it's aim of producing great products which work with seamless simplicity.

We're a 100% privately owned company who's employees are as much a part of the setup. We won't crumble under the pressures of market forces, shareholders or sellouts. We're here for the long haul, we mean business and we're going to change things...

Network Map

Our primary network is based in Telehouse, London - home of LINX - the London Internet Exchange. From here we have superfast fibre links to every corner of the internet and proudly boast one of the fastest networks on the planet.

Mission Statement

Our goal is to provide premium internet products and services - how we would expect them ourselves. We aim to innovate, to change common internet misconceptions in terms of customer service, reliability and ease-of-use.

Award Winning ISP

We're honoured to be nominated for many awards each year, and winning some too. We punch above our weight most of the time against some of the biggest ISP's in the country - we're clearly doing something right.
